South Africa’s Anti-Apartheid movement started in 1959. It took decades before the world finally came together to end one of the cruelest examples of white supremacy, it wasn't until 1990 that Nelson Mandela was released from prison. Today, American progressives are crying for the world to step in once again.

Donald Trump and his white supremacist minions are caging children and weaponizing increasingly hateful rhetoric towards minorities. We need you to support our #FeelThePainBoy travel boycott. The old Confederacy still longs for the days of the Antebellum south—the days of Dixie and Gone With the Wind—the days of legalized white supremacy. As long as red states continue the fight to subjugate and criminalize racial and ethnic minorities, we will refuse to spend our hard earned money to subsidize racist, sexist, and xenophobic policies. The white sheet has been replaced with business suits and police badges—and we will not stand for it! #ShutdownGeorgia

Now in complete power, our oppressors have threatened to deport 800,000 young immigrants who arrived here as children and know no other home. They have riled up other nuclear powers and threatened a war our world could not sustain. They’re working to dismantle and undermine health care for people in need. They’ve turned their backs on refugees, the LGBTQ community, women and the poor.

 

They’ve criminalized all Muslims with their travel ban. It has recently been revealed that jack-booted ICE agents(including the current head of the agency) have been sharing racist and violent imagery on private Facebook groups. The delight they take in the subjugation, injuries, and even deaths of migrants is despicable. It is a sickening rot in the very core of our law enforcement agencies—a rot that has been taking hold for decades. Almost 30 years ago Rage Against the Machine was singing, “Some of those who work forces, are the same who burn crosses.” We have waited far to long to deal with the systemic racism in this country. No more!

Donald Trump himself has proven himself to act entirely in his own self-interest, placating his base with racist dog whistles like condemning NFL players who take a knee against police brutality and announcing  that we can’t help the people of Puerto Rico (American citizens) forever.

Forty million African Americans, 52 million Hispanics and countless other people need your help in Trump’s America. We can no longer wait years for governments to step in, so with social media we are bypassing governmental bureaucracy. It took the entire world to stop the Holocaust and South African Apartheid. And now we need that global help again.

 

You can make a difference today. We ask each of you not to visit or support our oppressor’s economy, both as an act of solidarity and for your own safety, which we fear could be in jeopardy if you visit the heart of Trump’s America. We’re boycotting North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia*, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri amd Virginia. *We'll start with #ShutdownGeorgia.

Please consider redirecting your travel dollars to progressive states, like Colorado, California, Massachusetts, Maine, Minnesota, Washington, Oregon, New York, Nevada, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey or Hawaii instead. We priced our six-day “See New York with a Real New Yorker” tour package at $225 per person, plus $33 (the cost of a seven-day MetroCard). For $1257 pp and the prevailing rate of a hotel room you can visit one of the world's greatest cities.

​We declare war on those whose economic privilege is deeply rooted in and built upon generational slavery and who make no effort to extend that privilege to those to whom it's owed. The thirteen-original slave-holding confederate states must atone for their treason and sins against humanity. We will not allow Republicans voters to hide behind their elected officials without inflicting pain on their economy. In 2019, pain is a two-way street.
