Tourism’s Rebound Depends On One Thing: Inclusivity A prominent study by Mandala Research of 1,700 Black travelers found that they spent $63 billion in 2018 (compared to $48 billion in 2010), while perceiving racial profiling as a greater threat than airport hassles or terrorism; 13% fear for their safety in less-diverse destinations.

155 years ago our ancestors left their masters physical plantation and unknowingly migrated to their insidious political plantation. Mass incarceration was the brainchild of Biden signed into law by Bill Clinton.

His name is Michael Thompson. In 1994 he sold weed to an undercover informant in Michigan. He has been in prison ever since. It has been 25 years. And he still has 35 years left to serve. Michael is 68 years old now. In other words, he was given a life sentence for selling weed.

His mother, his father and his only son died while he was in prison. And recreational marijuana has been legalized in Michigan. Now we’re going to fight to get Michael free. We can do it. We must.

“Every student of political science, every student of political economy, every student of economics, knows that the race can only be saved through a solid industrial foundation; that the race can only be saved through political independence. Take away industry from a race, take away political freedom from a race and you have a slave race.”

MLK:

“I am now convinced that the simplest approach will prove to be the most effective — the solution to poverty is to abolish it directly by a now widely discussed measure: the guaranteed income.

Malcolm X

Weed vending machines debut in Colorado

(CNN Business)You can now buy weed out of a vending machine at certain dispensaries in Colorado, America's oldest market for recreational cannabis.

A startup called Anna -- a play on the word "analytics" -- has begun deploying high-tech, self-checkout cannabis kiosks at select dispensaries in the state.

The machines can hold more than 2,000 products that include cannabis flower, edibles, infused beverages, balms and vape oils. The machines are ideal for the shopper who knows what they want and doesn't want to wait in potentially long lines, the company says.

Anna's arrival comes at a time when Covid-19 health protocols have limited consumers' abilities to shop in person as they had in the past. Cannabis retailers, which in many states were designated as essential businesses, have been able to offer online orders, curbside pickup and delivery, thanks to new pandemic-era rules.

Those designations and rule changes have kept sales flowing in the cannabis industry.

Biden’s Marijuana Decriminalization Plan Is ‘Meaningless,’ Democratic Congressman Says

A chief advocate for marijuana reform in Congress said in a recent interview that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s proposal to decriminalize cannabis is “essentially meaningless” at a time when a bipartisan majority of Americans support full legalization.

Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) was asked about Biden’s marijuana platform during an interview with an executive of cannabis company Canopy Growth Corporation. He said that he’s been actively discussing the issue with the campaign and Biden “is evolving” despite his ongoing opposition to legalization—but he “needs to embrace it.” In the meantime, the former vice president’s pledge to simply decriminalize marijuana at the federal level doesn’t go far enough, the congressman said.

“It is demanded by the American public. It’s no longer controversial,” Blumenauer, who is co-chair of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, said of legalization. “For the campaign to talk about decriminalization is essentially meaningless. Your grandmother is for decriminalization.”

If businesses want to promote justice, they can help end the prison-industrial complex

Thousands of businesses are invested in the U.S. prison system. As Americans call for justice from police departments and governments, there’s also pressure for companies to play a role.

Enslavement continues in the U.S. It’s called prison, and American businesses have historically been heavily invested in the prison system.

The 13th Amendment, enacted at the close of the Civil War, didn’t exactly end slavery when it stated “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States.” This loophole made room for authorities to work around the abolition of slavery and gave birth to the American prison-industrial complex.

Today, oppressive laws and policies continue to expand the reach and impact of that system rooted in enslavement and unjust, even torturous practices condemned by the Western world—from solitary confinementwithholding or delaying healthcare, and retaliatory practices from judges who increasing sentences for people who reject plea bargains to the outright murder of prisoners.

JOE BIDEN HAS PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX CONNECTIONS

Joe Biden’s past includes a lot of things that we should have questions about. Writing the crime bill that scarred Black America forever and amped up mass incarceration is just one of the issues Joe has had to address and apologize for, but he has even more troubling connections.

Kamala Harris and Andrew Yang renewed their call this week for you to get a $2,000 a month stimulus check.
Here’s what you need to know
.

Monthly Stimulus Payments

At a virtual town hall this week hosted by The Appeal, Sen. Harris (D-CA) and Yang, both of whom were 2020 presidential candidates, championed a monthly stimulus payment for the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both Harris and Yang have supported monthly stimulus checks, and Yang, in particular, centered his presidential campaign on the idea of universal basic income. Harris and Yang said that given more than 40 million unemployed and a struggling economy, now is the right time to create a “safety net” so Americans don’t fall into poverty or further into poverty.

Harris Plan: The Monthly Economic Crisis Support Act

Harris, along with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) introduced the Monthly Economic Crisis Support Act, which would:

Trump Will Decide Whether To Accept Election Result Afterward: Press Secretary

The president — who doesn’t get to decide whether he’ll stay in office — will “see what happens and make a determination in the aftermath,” Kayleigh McEnany claimed.

Will Donald Trump accept the outcome if he doesn’t win the election?

Reporters asked variations of that question twice at a Wednesday afternoon press briefing with White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. The answer should have been easy — but as Trump himself has said on several occasions, McEnany suggested that the president may not commit to the election results if he loses.

The first question: “Does the President believe there’s any circumstance under which he could lose the election fairly?”

The second question: “Is the President saying if he doesn’t win this election that he will not accept the results unless he wins?”

We will not allow Republicans voters to hide behind their elected officials without inflicting pain on their economy

IN 2020, PAIN IS A TWO-WAY.

CIVILWAR2CYBER%20logo%20PNG_edited.png

We are declaring war on those whose economic privilege is deeply rooted in and build upon generational slavery and who make no effort to extend that privilege to those to whom it's owed. The thirteen original slave-holding confederate states must atone for their treason and sins against humanity. So we are boycotting them and redirecting their clients to places that support progressive causes. We will not allow Republicans voters to hide behind their elected officials without inflicting pain on their economy. #TrumpRedRonaTravelEmbargo

We can no longer wait years for government to step in. It took the entire world to stop the Holocaust and South African Apartheid. And now we need that global help again. With social media we are bypassing governmental bureaucracy. Let's show them that in 2020, travel bans and pain are a two-way street. We will ensure Pro-Trump states travel industry NEVER recovery from covid-19, that's a promise.

Our plan isn’t limited to protests. We want a seat at the governing table. Within the first 100 days of the TIP Political Party administration, we’ll fund removal of every confederate statue and flag on federal or public lands. We’ll rename all streets and schools named after confederate soldiers and ensure textbooks have accurate information on slavery.  No American military installation will honor the Confederacy.

In short, we’ll mirror what Germany did to eradicate Nazi history. There will be no compromising on ending the legacy of the Confederacy and Trump.

The world is on edge with Trump at the helm tweeting "when the looting starts. the shooting starts" We believe with the announcement of our #FeelThePainBoy Travel Boycott and the creation of Tip Political Party and Travel in Peace Nation, OUR Party will become an iconic travel brand overnight for the world will know a formidable resistance movement has risen and will embrace our vision.

Unlike the South African Apartheid Boycott, we’ll be able to re-direct our supporters directly into our tour channels. In addition, we’ll create reciprocal subway adventures in any major city globally that supports our travel boycott, helping their local economies, post coronavirus. Hurting Trump is incentive enough, but money adds tangible returns.

Our wartime mission is to both totally disrupt and bankrupt Trump’s supporters’ tourism industries and win the White House. Trump won because the sons and daughters of the confederacy never ended the Civil War, look at TRUMP'S actions in Portland. As a Political Party, our Civil War II-Cyber Edition will forge on until the last descendants and defenders of confederacy ideology are dust and we as a PARTY can start to right the injustices of the past. IT AIN'T 1921, BOYS.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Partners With U.S. Mayors To Offer Free Income To Their Residents

In the ultra-competitive Silicon Valley tech sector, filled with big egos and multibillionaires, Jack Dorsey stands out. Dorsey is the CEO of both Twitter and Square, two highly successful publicly traded companies. He’s also a forward-thinking trailblazer on social issues. Dorsey recently led the charge for making the work-from-home trend a permanent fixture.

The chief executive also previously pledged $1 billion to fight back against Covid-19. Dorsey wrote in a tweet, “I’m moving $1B of my Square equity (~28% of my wealth) to #startsmall LLC to fund global COVID-19 relief. After we disarm this pandemic, the focus will shift to girl’s health and education, and UBI.”

AN OPEN LETTER TO JACK DORSEY

Every once in a while, history throws forth a man or woman of destiny. Think Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, John Lewis or Martin Luther King. All titans of their time, their names will live on forever, as will their legacies.

We believe that your name should join those, and here’s why.

We at TIP Nation have been strident advocates of Universal Basic Income (UBI) for many years now. We wholeheartedly backed Andrew Yang’s proposal for UBI and now we see how you are supporting 15 cities, all economically languishing because of COVID-19, with a UBI from you for their citizens.

Not only is this an act of philanthropy on your behalf, it is also prophetic. UBI is inextricably woven into the future tapestry of this country. The obscene wealth inequality of recent years gone by can only effectively be tackled with
UBI.

The average American can barely afford to live, even more so in the midst of a pandemic, let alone buy a new political system for the country. We need people with vision such as yours so as to secure our future as one people and one country, united, free and fair.

A virtual war needs to be waged against the Establishment. The tactics of old, while worthy at the time, are no longer effective in the face of the societal and economic changes that are required.

The same old same old means nothing for Black America.

Black America, the classic definition of insanity is doing the very same thing over and over again, but expecting different results each time. The two-party oscillation model of politics, Democrats to Republicans to Democrats to Republicans and so on ad nauseum, is completely done.

We don't have a clearly defined black agenda because the DNC, rely on corporate vultures for funding and absolutely no corporate entity has your well-being in their mission statement. Rather, these modern day Robber Barons are legally required to maximize their profits—they would rather the masses suffer than limit their growth potential. We have private companies building prisons. We have private companies that will cut corners to save a buck—even if the environmental consequences are disastrous—just look at the Flint  and Newark Water Crisis.

Joe Biden is politics as usual. His praise of segregationist Senators was, at best, incredibly tone deaf and, more likely, a remnant of his past. During the first Democratic debate, he trotted out the tired trope of “let the states decide” when confronted by Kamala Harris about his fight against bussing. Many black leaders have concluded that no matter which party is in power, black people still lose.

Black Americans are still summarily executed by jack-booted thugs who believe they are judge, jury, and executioner. Little about our criminal justice system has changed since the 1969 execution of Fred Hampton. Unarmed black men are still gunned down on their own property. Black activists, like Sandra Bland, still end up dead while in police custody. What good is the status quo if it still ends with racist cops murdering Black Americans?

The question we must ask ourselves is: CAN a formerly enslaved people be integrated into their former slave masters political party and thrive?....no. READ MORE

Today is the day we rise up and take political and economic control of our future and our loved ones’ futures. We are a group of veterans, historians and social tourism activists who have started the Travel in Peace (TIP) Political Party "America's First Self-Funding Blockchain & CryptoStrong Political Party"—it’s the Progressive counterpoint to the Republican Tea Party. We simply want all people to Travel in Peace no matter their race, culture, gender or sexual orientation.

We aren’t just about politics - economics is also key. Consequently, we understand the economic power of travel and the over 100 billion dollars that a shared economy entails.

That’s why we created Afrobnb, WomenunitedbnbTipcruises and TipTours, collectively known as Travel in Peace Nation,Inc., to assist in funding TIP Party and to end corporate bribery of our politicians. We can no longer allow “campaign contributions” to dictate policy.

At the heart of Travel in Peace Nation is a political movement rooted is Social Tourism. Social tourism is the extension of tourism benefits to disadvantaged people who otherwise could not afford to travel. Our version benefits both the traveler, the BnB host community and locally owned hotels.

Our brand is  global—we anticipate operating in 182 countries worldwide, post corvid-19. As social tourism activists, our goal is to always support the local populations. AfroBnB will give us access to 1.2 billion people in some of the world’s most iconic tourist destinations, Africa, Brazil, Cuba, the Caribbean and South America. We are uniquely qualified to penetrate those markets with Afrobnb.

400 years ago, our ancestors were stolen from Africa and endured months chained head to toe in the shithole of slave ships. Today, we are commandeering a luxury cruise line and headlining the on-board entertainment for our inaugural WE OWE US Cruise to Puerto Rico.

The GOP weaponized and monetized hate for centuries. To neutralize Trump's hate. Progressives must weaponize and monetize travel and the internet to raise billions, rally millions and win the White House on our terms.

We are looking for  partners who are ready to go to war, to officially usher in the Shared Economy Era and Blazin20s, shutdown Trumpists and to better the lives of millions in America and globally by making their home, car, personal knowledge, UBI and vote a source of revenue.

We created AfroBnB to unite the Pan African Diaspora economically in the emerging $100+ billion shared economy and trillion-dollar travel industry, Post Corona Virus. We created TIP Political Party to be the Democrats’ counterpart to the Tea Party. Our mission is to take back the White House and dominate the U.S. and global travel industry.

We also chose this approach after we watched in amazement when the Democrats shut Airbnb out of the New York City market. Airbnb is facing legal challenges from multiple municipalities in the U.S. and globally, lawsuits funded by the hotel industry. With NYC politicians shutting down their operation in the world’s #1 tourist destination, forming a political party and supporting, funding and electing our own candidates will ensure our brand survives. We’ll bypass expensive lobbyists and lawyers and go right to the people.

After 400 years, no man or woman alive will politically block our children's blessings.

An Open Letter to Andrew Yang

August 25, 2020

Tipvoice.com

Mr. Yang, at a time of unprecedented political danger to the American republic, comes the need for unprecedented solutions. We have reached a near point of no return. Yes, that means Trump and his suppliant cadre of GOP have taken the country to ever lower depths of moral deprivation. However, even if Trump had not bludgeoned his way into the Oval Office, there were bigger, more long-term issues at play – issues that you have had the foresight to call them out for what they are.

As you know, the American economy is fundamentally and irrecoverably changing. Its increasing automation means that millions of Americans have already been displaced, with tens of millions more to come. This is something beyond a recession or depression as it is permanent change. And no modern economy can afford to lose tens of millions of working people and the economic purchasing power that that entails. Again, as you know, if tens of millions aren’t spending, then the economy goes yet further into tail-spin. Consequently, so it is then that we here at TIP political party have been shoulder to shoulder with you in support of Universal Basic Income (UBI).

CNN Poll: Biden and Trump matchup tightens as enthusiasm hits new high

(CNN)Joe Biden's lead over Donald Trump among registered voters has significantly narrowed since June, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, even as the former vice president maintains an advantage over the President on several top issues and his choice of California Sen. Kamala Harris as a running mate earns largely positive reviews.

And on the eve of the party conventions, a majority of voters (53%) are "extremely enthusiastic" about voting in this year's election, a new high in CNN polling in presidential election cycles back to 2003.

Overall, 50% of registered voters back the Biden-Harris ticket, while 46% say they support Trump and Pence, right at the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. Among the 72% of voters who say they are either extremely or very enthusiastic about voting this fall, Biden's advantage over Trump widens to 53% to 46%. It is narrower, however, among those voters who live in the states that will have the most impact on the electoral college this fall.

The DNC doesn't get it, they don't realize that millennials would rather sit an election out than vote for a politician bought and paid for by Wall Street. Millennials don't want to vote for a dinosaur that doesn't understand the modern world, someone who doesn't grasp the power and utility of Block Chain, Robotics, AI, Cryptocurrency, and augmented reality. Someone who doesn't grasp how automation will lead to greater amounts of income inequality.

The Democratic Party has failed young Americans. Their incompetency led to Donald Trump becoming president. Their incompetency has led to the loss of the Senate Majority. Their incompetency has given us a Republican Supreme Court for a generation.

Joe Biden is not the candidate to lead the Democrats into the future. He is a dinosaur in an ever changing world. He has had problematic actions in regard to race, gender, and the LGBTQ community. The Democrats need to be the party of inclusivity—they need to stand in stark contrast to the xenophobia of the Republican Party. Joe Biden cannot be that person. His brand of centrism has helped move the Overton Window so far right that the rest of the western world views the Democrats as a right-wing party.

The Democrats lost the 2016 election by 77,000 votes over 3 states while nominating a centrist Democrat—is it any wonder that George Will would prefer them to nominate someone even further right than Hillary?

Milquetoast centrists do not excite the Democratic base. It leads to apathy among young people. It leads to disillusionment—why should we vote for someone who will only continue to advance the policies that have made millennials the first generation in American history to have a worse economic outlook than their parents? There is the old adage, “Democrats fall in love; Republicans fall in line.”

The Democratic Party nominated a candidate that does not inspire people; they need someone who can bring the party together through a shared sense of optimism about the future. They need someone who is empathetic. Someone who cares.                                                                MILLENNIALS WE NEED YANG HARRIS TO 2KUSA

DO NOT BLAME  MILLENNIALS  OR AFRICAN AMERICANS WHEN THE LIGHTS OF DEMOCRACY FADE TO BLACK.

Democrats Make The Case That Joe Biden Can Be All Things To All People

Somehow, their party’s convention connected a democratic socialist, a former Republican secretary of state and a feel-good video about John McCain.

Democrats officially nominated Joe Biden to be their party’s presidential nominee on Tuesday and made the case that he can unify the country because he appeals to virtually every type of voter: progressives, moderates and disaffected Republicans.

But what Democrats are defining as unity — their theme for the Democratic National Convention this week — is also reflective of the fragile coalition Biden is hoping to pull together against President Donald Trump

For anyone watching day two of the convention, it may have felt disjointed at times. The program jumped from regular people sharing stories about health care struggles, to former Republican Secretary of State Colin Powell praising Biden as the right person to keep the nation safe, to an emotional message from Jill Biden about grief and resilience. There may not have been a clear flow, but the snippets were designed to appeal to each of Biden’s constituencies

AOC and Fellow Progressives, It Really Is Now Time to Ditch The DNC

As we already knew, the American two-party set-up is the fossil-fuel industry of political systems – archaic and toxic to the vast majority of Americans. That’s why we previously declared that the Democrats and true American Progressives now need to part company. If you wanted an absolute affirmation of that, take Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ affirmation of Bernie Sanders in her one minute, yep, that’s one minute, slot at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night. A truly bold statement made in a ridiculously short period of time, AOC did justice to the 1,000 Democratic delegates

YANG GANG EFFECT BOOSTS NEW YORK CANDIDATES PUSHING UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME

By Rachel Holliday Smith and Ese Olumhense

James Felton Keith is trying not to talk too much about economic theory on the campaign trail.

But that can be tough for the economist, ethnographer, former engineer and author who’s running for Congress in Upper Manhattan and The Bronx on a platform of universal basic income.

The notion of every adult receiving an annual cash stipend got a buzzy entrance on the political scene, thanks to the Democratic presidential primary campaign by Andrew Yang, who reportedly is now mulling a run for New York City mayor.

Hello and thank you for your incredible support these past months!

Yes, it’s really me. I used to write every email for the campaign in the early days - though the ‘mailing list’ back then was my gmail contact list.

Now there are over 860,000 people on this list - 431,000 of whom donated to my campaign - and millions who have expressed support for our vision for the country. It’s hard to believe how much we’ve grown. I missed writing these emails!

Everyone on this list has agreed to the UBI Caucus member pledge

“If elected, I pledge to introduce legislation that can be passed by the House, Senate and signed into law by the President in the first quarter of 2021 that transparently funds and guarantees a Universal Basic Income (UBI) for the citizens of the United States of America, at a rate which covers basic human needs in an effort to eliminate poverty, while building a robust national economy.”
